About Me
So You Want to Know More About Me?
I’ve spent the past few years moving from web development into digital marketing, growing from a Junior Developer role all the way to Head of Marketing and most recently Account Director at various marketing agencies. Along the way, I’ve had the chance to lead amazing teams, work with diverse clients, and build campaigns that deliver real results.
I started out in the tech side of things—developing websites from Magento, Shopify, WordPress & bespoke sites. That technical foundation gave me a solid understanding of how websites work, but my curiosity soon led me into marketing. I wanted to do more than just build websites; I wanted to drive the strategies that make them successful. That’s when I transitioned into digital marketing, managing everything from SEO and social media to full-blown branding projects.
Passion for Sport
Outside of working life, sport has always been a big part of my life not just watching but being involved in any way possible. At school, I was involved in every single sports team I could be, and this continued to university where I played for the American Football, Hockey and Social Netball teams as well as various other sports when extra players were required. I was fortunate enough to win the Sir Stanley Matthews Commitment to Sport Award in my final year. Since leaving Uni I have settled on primarily being involved in Netball and American Football as a coach and volunteer.
Involvement in Sport
American Football Coaching
I have been involved in a number of different setups including being Defensive Coordinator for the Sandwell Steelers U19s and the Staffordshire Stallions University team as well as Defensive QC for Midland Oaks U19s. I'm also lucky enough to be part of the GB U17s coaching team as DB Assistant.
Netball Coaching
During 2023, I was asked to step in as Head Coach for the Staffordshire University’s Netball Team. This proved to be a very different coaching challenge to anything I had done before. I was immensely proud of how the team came together and grew and won the Varsity game for the first time in many years.
Sports Marketing
I have been able to combine my profession with my passion as the Marketing Lead for the Netball West Midlands Regional Management Board. Supporting with all things website, marketing and the planning and execution of the Regional One Awards - the biggest in the country!
Live Broadcast Directing & Production
In June 2024, I directed the live broadcasts for the EEAST International Rugby 7s Tournament. I managed multi-camera setups and live commentary for the event with over 10,000 viewers. I learnt a lot about managing a livestream as well as working with a mix of different technologies.
Volunteering
I volunteered at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games as part of the Netball ball patrol team, this sparked my passion for volunteering and since then I have volunteered with England Netball at many major and community events. I have supported in a range of roles, from safeguarding, accreditation, results & fixture management to event setup and pack down.
Playing
While I have not played as much sport as I would have liked to over the past year, the drive and ambition I had from playing is still very much there and is the reason I am so passionate about my coaching and passing on the knowledge I have gained. While I have not played much, fitness continues to be a vital outlet for both my physical and mental wellbeing, keeping me grounded and motivated.
